When was the last time you sat in silence—not scrolling, not planning, not rushing—just sitting with God? In a noisy world, solitude feels rare, yet it’s in those still moments that our souls rediscover His presence.
Jesus Himself often sought solitude: in weariness, in grief, before decisions, and even before the Cross. If He needed that quiet with the Father, how much more do we? Seniors remind us of this longing too. One whispered, “I miss Him. I miss the quiet.” Their hunger echoes Psalm 63:1: “My soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.”
Solitude is not escape—it is encounter. In stillness, we find peace, renewal, and the nearness of God’s heart.
