Walking back from midweek chapel toward the Terraces, a woman took my arm without a word. After a while she said quietly: “Chaplain, I don’t walk as straight as I used to. But when someone holds my hand — or my arm — I feel safe.” I said: “God holds your hand the same way. Steady, patient, and strong. All the way down every corridor.”

His Gentle Leading, Walking at Your Pace
An older woman walking slowly along a sunny corridor smiles at a younger staff member and says: “I don’t move as fast as I used to. But I think God walks at my pace now. He’s not rushing me. He’s walking beside me, matching my slower steps.” The Shepherd does not drive His sheep. He leads them — gently, patiently, at exactly the pace you need.
