“Honoring the Past, Guiding the Present, Inspiring the Future—in Christ.” From A Chaplain's Heart.

Grace for the Weary Soul

Wisdom Nugget:

Grace doesn’t demand strength—it meets you in weakness.

Scripture:

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9 (ESV)

Chaplain’s Whisper:
I’ve seen many seniors rise with bodies that ache, eyes heavy with fatigue, yet they still whisper prayers or share a kind word. One gentleman told me, “I’m not strong like I used to be, but I feel Him carrying me.”

It’s a reminder: God’s grace is active where our strength ends. He meets us in our vulnerability, not in our perfection.

Wisdom Prompt:
Where do I feel weak today—and how might God be inviting me to lean, not on my own strength, but on His grace?

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for meeting me where I am. Strengthen me through Your grace and carry me where I cannot walk on my own. Amen.
