Day 4: Small Habits, Big Faith

Bible Verse

“God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power, love, and self-discipline.” — 2 Timothy 1:7

The Message

Discipline does not mean being perfect. It means moving in the right direction. As we get older, discipline changes. It is no longer about how much work we can do. Instead, it is about staying steady and peaceful.

One man told me, “I cannot do what I used to do. But I can still pray every morning. I can still read my Bible. I can still be kind.” These small habits were like an anchor for him. They gave him a reason to smile every day.

God gives us the strength to have self-control. We do not have to do it alone. Even small things—like a short prayer, saying “thank you,” or a kind word—are holy habits. These habits show honor to God and keep our hearts calm.

Discipline is not about doing more. It is about being faithful with what you can do today. It is about showing up for God, one day at a time.

Remember: Discipline is a blessing, not a hard job.
Let God help you make good choices today, one small step at a time.

“Discipline is showing our love for God every day.”

A Simple Prayer

Lord, please help me choose what is good. Help me think about what is true. Even when I feel tired, help me to be faithful to You. Amen.

A Blessing for You

May God make you strong today. May His Spirit help you make good choices and fill your heart with a special purpose.
