Resilient Trust
Reflection
Trust becomes “resilient”—which means strong and able to bounce back—only after it has been tested. Decades of experience have shaped your trust, guiding you through loss, illness, and unexpected twists along life’s journey.
I once asked a woman how she kept trusting God through hardships. She smiled and said, “From what I’ve seen, God doesn’t arrive early, but He’s never late.”
His Nearness is your Refuge. Resilient trust grows when we follow the advice of the Psalmist to “Pour out your hearts before Him.”
- You do not have to hide your fears from God.
- You do not have to pretend you are feeling strong when you are tired.
- You can be completely honest with the One who already knows your heart.
Today, let your trust reach toward God. Like a tree in a storm, your faith may bend, but because God is holding you, it will not break.
Rest Reflection
Think of one “storm” in your life that you survived because God was with you. As you remember His help, you might want to whisper:
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided—
“Great is Thy faithfulness,” Lord, unto me!
Personal Prayer
Lord, please strengthen my trust today. I do not want to hold my worries inside; I want to pour out my heart to You. Thank You for being my refuge and my steady place. Help me to remember Your faithfulness in my past so I can have courage for my present. Amen.
A Blessing for You
May your trust in God deepen today. May the memory of His past faithfulness remind you of His present care. May His unchanging character be the solid rock on which you stand.
