🌉 A Prayer for Strength and Grace
Faithful God,
We pray for people in the middle of big life changes.
We pray for those who feel caught between the past and the future.
They are no longer young, but they are not yet old.
This season of life can feel uncertain.
Their children have grown up and moved away.
Their bodies are changing.
Their jobs might be changing, too.
The future feels both exciting and scary.
Give them courage to start something new.
Give them permission to try new things.
Give them hope that the best chapters of life are still unwritten.
Give them peace where they are, even if they don’t know where they are going.
Remind them: They are not finishing.
They are opening up.
They are not disappearing; they are becoming someone new.
They are not done; they are just starting in a new way.
Bless this “middle” generation.
Help them use the wisdom they have learned and share it with others.
Help them feel strong and be kind to themselves when they feel unsure.
You are making all things new, even right now.
Amen.
Isaiah 43:18-19 “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
2 Corinthians 4:16 “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1 “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
