“Honoring the Past, Guiding the Present, Inspiring the Future—in Christ.” From A Chaplain's Heart.

There’s something beautiful about how God hides wisdom in small things.
A phrase in Scripture that lingers long after you’ve closed the page.
A story from a grandparent, spoken softly but carrying the weight of years.
A line in an old book that still feels alive today—as though it were written just for this moment.

These Nuggets of Wisdom are short reflections gathered like treasures along the way—small gems you can hold close, polish with reflection, and one day pass on like an inheritance of faith. They aren’t lengthy essays or complicated teachings, but simple truths drawn from Scripture, life lessons, and the quiet wisdom of those who’ve walked before us.

Some rise from everyday encounters—a conversation in the hallway, a memory stirred by a familiar hymn. Others are born in stillness: a whispered prayer, a verse that shines in a new light, or a thought that surfaces during a quiet evening walk. Yet all of them point back to the same reality: God’s wisdom is timeless.

These reflections are written to meet you in the ordinary. You might read one while sipping your morning coffee, or as you settle into bed at night. They’re small enough to carry with you, yet deep enough to stir your soul.

My hope is that each one offers:

  • Encouragement when the road feels heavy,
  • Direction when you’re unsure which way to go, and
  • Gentle reminders that God is always near—speaking through both the stillness and the storm.

In a world that moves quickly, these “nuggets” invite us to slow down.
To breathe.
To listen.
To remember that sometimes the smallest truths carry the greatest strength.

Each reflection is a whisper of grace—a quiet reminder that even a few words can change the course of your day, or perhaps your heart.

Small words. Big truths.
Simple enough to hold in your hand.
Strong enough to strengthen every generation.
Eternal enough to point us back to the One who is Wisdom Himself.

May each Nugget of Wisdom remind you that faith grows in quiet, steady ways. If a line here speaks to you, linger with it—let it become your prayer for the day. God often begins His greatest work in the smallest moments.

Warmly,
Chaplain Noel
